No. The E31B visa allows your spouse to live and travel freely as a resident in Indonesia, but it strictly prohibits any form of local employment or income generating activity within the country.
How long is the Spouse KITAS valid?
The validity of the E31B dependent visa is tied directly to the primary sponsor’s KITAS. It is typically granted for 1 or 2 years and can be easily extended by your visa agent as long as the sponsor’s primary permit is renewed.
Do we need to show financial proof for the application?
Yes. Indonesian Immigration requires a personal bank statement (from either the sponsor or the applicant) showing a minimum balance equivalent to USD $2,000, covering the last 3 months.
What if our marriage certificate is from Pakistan, Malaysia, Australia, UK, USA, India, China or another country?
Marriage certificates issued abroad must be translated into Indonesian by a certified sworn translator. Whether your certificate is in English, Urdu, Malay, or another language, our agency can assist in arranging this legal translation as part of our comprehensive service.
Can we apply offshore while my spouse is still in Singapore or Australia, Pakistan, Uk, USA, India or any other Country?
Yes, the E31B can be processed entirely offshore. Once approved, your spouse will receive an e-Visa to enter Indonesia, after which the physical stay permit (ITAS) is issued automatically. There is no need to visit an embassy abroad.
